The colour combination mixes Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla and adds just a touch of Early Espresso.

Instructions

Thoughtful Blooms in sepia

Start with a small square card of Crumb Cake. Mat with a layer of Soft Suede. On a slightly smaller square of Very Vanilla, stamp a sentiment from the Thoughtful Blooms set in the upper right corner using Early Espresso ink. Using Soft Suede ink, stamp the leaves, ensuring that you will have room for the flowers without them bumping into the sentiment. Use Crumb Cake ink to add three sizes of solid flowers to the ends of the stems. Switch to Soft Suede ink again to stamp the small motif centres to the flowers and to add the smaller fronds, filling out the space a little more. To finish use Early Espresso ink to add the dot flowers. Adhere the stamped layer direct to the card front.

On the Very Vanilla insert, stamp the larger solid flower in the lower centre using Crumb Cake ink. Use Soft Suede ink to stamp the small motif in the centre. Ink the border stamp with Soft Suede ink, stamp it off once onto scrap paper and then stamp (without reinking) at one side of the flower. This gives a paler shade of ink. Repeat the process on the other side of the flower.

If you want to step the basic card up a little, without a lot of extra work, then simply add some metallic pearls (the gold ones work well on this card) to the centres of the the larger flowers.

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a great weekend.
