Painted Poppies in Gray Granite

January 18, 2020

Today’s birthday card uses the Painted Poppies in Gray Granite as a background, allowing the poppy coloured panel to pop.

Painted Poppies in Gray Granite

The Painted Poppies set is very versatile and I’m loving using it and combining it with other elements from the Peaceful Poppies Suite. Here it was used with the Peaceful Poppies DSP and here with the Poppy Moments dies.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Gray Granite, Poppy Parade and Old Olive.

Instructions

Painted Poppies in Gray Granite

Start with an A4 portrait card of Gray Granite. On a card front layer of Whisper White, stamp the large poppy head from the Painted Poppies set around the edges using Gray Granite ink. Adhere the layer direct to the card front. Using Memento Black ink, stamp the small duo of poppies from the same set onto a slim panel of Whisper White. Stamp the birthday sentiment from Peaceful Moments below the flowers. Colour the flowerheads with the Poppy Parade duo of Blends and the leaves with the Old Olive duo of Blends. Mat the stamped panel onto Poppy Parade card and pop up on the card front with dimensionals.

Insert using Painted Poppies.

On the Whisper White insert, stamp single leaf from the Painted Poppies set in the lower left corner using Old Olive ink. Stamp the flatter poppy head in opposite corners using Poppy Parade ink.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hope you’re having a great weekend.
