Today’s Label Me Golden Honey birthday card combines one of our free Sale-a-bration DSP packs with two new punches from the January-June mini catalogue.
The eagle-eyed among you may think that the black and gold striped paper is different from that in the DSP pack. The paper in the pack is actually horizontal (or vertical) stripes. I cut a corner off the sheet and then trimmed my paper in order to get the stripes running diagonally. Just another way to get more from what you already have!
Check out this card sample using some of the same Golden Honey Specialty DSP.
Colour Combo
This colour combo mixes Basic Black and Metallic Gold.
Instructions
Start with an A4 landscape card of Basic Black. Adhere a panel of the hexagon design of Golden Honey Specialty DSP direct to the top half of the card front. Trim a panel of the striped DSP (see above) so that the stripes run diagonally. Adhere this direct to the bottom half of the card front. Punch a Label Me Lovely label from Gold Foil and adhere direct, covering the join in the papers. Using Versamark ink, stamp the birthday sentiment from Peaceful Moments onto a scrap of Basic Black card. Heat emboss with Gold Emboss Powder and punch out with the Label Me Fancy punch. Use the same punch to add slots to the narrow ends of the label. Cut a narrow strip of Gold Foil and thread through the label before adhering it direct to the card front, using dimensionals just behind the label.
On the Whisper White insert, add a strip of Golden Honey Specialty DSP. Using Memento Black ink, stamp another sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set.
Thanks for stopping by.
