Blossom Mother’s Day card

April 6, 2020

Life has certainly been chaotic for the last couple of months and I realised that I hadn’t shared this card with you. This was the Blossom Mother’s Day card that I had to post out rather than delivering by hand.

Blossom Mother's Day card

Regular readers will know that my Mum likes large cards and so this one is an A5 size (a full standard sheet of A4 card folded in half).

The card combines the Parisian Blossoms suite with the Dressed to Impress bundle.

COLOUR COMBO

Colour combo mixing Petal Pink, Pool Party and Gray Granite.

This is the same colour combo as I used on the Parisian Travel card here and mixes Petal Pink, Pool Party and Gray Granite.

INSTRUCTIONS

Blossom Mother's Day card

Start with an A5 portrait card of Petal Pink. On a card front layer of Gray Granite add a thin mat to the left hand side of the pattern with blossom against a blue background from the Parisian Blossoms Specialty DSP. Add a thicker mat of the scripty pattern to the right hand side. Wrap Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon over the join in the papers and secure on the reverse of the card front layers. Tie a bow in a length of Petal Pink Metallic-edge Ribbon and wrap this over the top of the Striped Ribbon and secure on the reverse again. Adhere the card front layers direct to the from of the card.

Using Gray Granite ink stamp the blossom spray from the Forever Blossoms set onto Whisper White card twice. Colour the blossom sprays with Petal Party and Old Olive combo Blends and die cut out with the matching Cherry Blossoms dies. Pop the blossoms up on the card front with dimensionals. Using Gray Granite ink, stamp the sentiment from the Dressed to Impress set onto a scrap of Whisper White card and die cut out with the matching All Dressed Up dies. Pop the sentiment up on the card front with dimensionals, covering the join in the blossoms. Finish with Champagne Rhinestones.

Blossom Mother's Day card insert

On the Whisper White insert, stamp the sentiment from Well Said with Gray Granite ink. Use the same ink to add a blossom and a leaf from the Forever Blossoms set, around the sentiment and colour with the same Blends used on the front of the card. Finish the insert with a strip of the same scripty design of Parisian Blossoms Specialty DSP used on the front.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sara xx
