A quick change of pace and colour scheme today as we switch from pinks and reds to greens and blues for this Best Dressed Umbrella card.
The paper comes from the Best Dressed DSP pack. This card shows that some of the patterns can have a more masculine feel, not just the feminine florals I’ve used previously.
COLOUR COMBO
The colour combo is taken from the Best Dressed DSP and includes Pretty Peacock, Mint Macaron and Purple Posy.
INSTRUCTIONS
Start with an A6 portrait card of Pretty Peacock. Adhere a card front layer of Best Dressed DSP direct to the card front. Using Memento Black ink, stamp the open umbrella and the wellies from the Under My Umbrella set onto leftover pieces of the same pattern of Best Dressed DSP. Fussy cut out the wellies and punch the umbrella using the Umbrella Builder punch. Use the same punch to punch a handle for the umbrella from a scrap of Crumb Cake.
Adhere the umbrella handle direct to a large panel of Whisper White card and pop the punched umbrella over the top with dimensionals. Using Pretty Peacock ink, stamp the raindrops and a sentiment from the Under My Umbrella set, onto the panel. Pop the wellies up on dimensionals. Mat the stamped and pieced panel onto Pretty Peacock card. Then pop the layers up on dimensionals on the card front.
On the Whisper White insert, stamp the sentiment from the Under My Umbrella set with Pretty Peacock ink. Use Memento Black ink to add a small flower spray from the same set in the corner and colour with Pretty Peacock and Mint Macaron Light Blends. Finish the insert with a strip of the same stripes design of Best Dressed DSP used on the front.
Thanks for stopping by.
