Sneak peek of Bumblebee

May 23, 2020

Back to another new 2020-2022 In Color for you – here’s a sneak peek of Bumblebee.

Sneak peek of Bumblebee

This sneak peek also showcases a new sentiment set, A Grand Kid. The set doesn’t just have great sentiments that are ideal for grandchildre, but includes others (like the ones used here), that can be used for friends too.

The card also combines DSP from the same pack that I used for the Misty Moonlight and Magenta Madness cards (two other In Colors) and stamps and dies from the Forever Fern bundle used on the Just Jade card (yet another new In Color). There’s just one more new In Color to share with you … soon.

COLOUR COMBO

Colour combo mixing Bumblebee, Early Espresso and Whisper White.

This colour combo mixes the new Bumblebee with existing Early Espresso and Whisper White.

INSTRUCTIONS

Sneak peek of Bumblebee

Start with an A6 portrait card of Bumblebee. Mat with Early Espresso card and Flowers for Every Season DSP. Using Early Espresso ink, stamp a sentiment from the A Grand Kid stamp set, onto a scrap of Whisper White card. Die cut the sentiment out with Layering Ovals. Use a slightly larger oval to die cut a mat from Bumblebee card. Die cut a large stitched label from Early Espresso card, using the Stitched So Sweetly set. Using the Forever Flourishing set, die cut a mixture of leaves from Bumblebee and Early Espresso card and tuck them between and behind the layers as you mat and pop up the sentiments on dimensionals, on the card front.

On the Whisper White insert, stamp another sentiment from A Grand Kid and a duo of leaves from the Forever Fern set, all with Early Espresso ink. Finish with a strip of the leftover Flowers for Every Season DSP from the front, along the base.

Thanks for stopping by.

This post will be edited with shopping supplies for this sneak peek of a Bumblebee card project when the new catty goes live.
