Hippo Happiness butterflies

July 8, 2020

A sweet little hello card for you today, using the Hippo Happiness butterflies. To be honest I bought the Hippo Happiness bundle mainly for the great layering labels in it. There are three different sets of shaped dies that can be mixed with plenty of other stamp sets lurking in my craft cupboard.

But now I’ve also fallen in love with the images and sentiments too.

Each of the little animals, the hippo, unicorn, ewe and even the little butterfly, they all have faces. The sentiments are just so fun too.

INSTRUCTIONS

Hippo Happiness butterflies

Start with an A6 landscape card of Just Jade. Mat two different (but same colour scheme) patterns of Flowers For Every Season DSP onto a card front layer of BumbleBee. Die cut two labels from Whisper White card using the Hippo & Friends dies. Using BumbleBee ink, stamp the small flower from Hippo Happiness across the label and then the solid butterfly above. With Just Jade ink, stamp the stems and leaves below the flowers and a sentiment onto the smaller label. Stamp the detailed butterfly over the top of the solid one with Cinnamon Cider ink, then the spiral trail with the same ink, stamping off first. Add the face with Just Jade ink.

Die cut a larger label from Just Jade card and die cut ribbon slots just inside the stitching at the edges. Thread Just Jade ribbon through the slots, wrap around the layers and adhere on the reverse before adhering the layers direct to the card front. Add a bow of the same ribbon at the side of the label using mini glue dots. Pop the two white labels up on the card front with dimensionals. Finish the flowers with 2020–2022 In Color Enamel Dots.

On the Whisper White insert, add a strip of Flowers For Every Season DSP along the base. Using BumbleBee ink, stamp two solid butterflies. Stamp the detailed butterfly over the top of the solid ones with Cinnamon Cider ink and add the faces with Just Jade ink.

Thanks for stopping by.
