I’m back again today with a Hippo birthday card, using the same Hippo Happiness bundle I used recently.
I’ve already used the butterflies, flowers and a different set of labels from the bundle, on this card here.
COLOUR COMBO
The colour combo mixes Purple Posy, Misty Moonlight and Blushing Bride.
INSTRUCTIONS
Start with an A6 landscape card of Misty Moonlight. Mat a card front layer of Playing With Patterns DSP onto a card front layer of Blushing Bride. Die cut two different size labels, one from Whisper White card and a larger one from Misty Moonlight, using the Hippo & Friends dies. Adhere together directly. Using Blushing Bride ink, stamp the solid hippo from Hippo Happiness on the left of the white label. With Highland Heather ink, stamp the rest of the hippo over the top. Using Misty Moonlight ink, add the sentiment, face and balloon strings. On scraps of Whisper White card, stamp the small balloon in Highland Heather, BumbleBee and Magenta Madness inks. Die cut out with the matching die.
Die cut ribbon slots right at the edges of the white label. Thread ribbon from the Playing With Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack through the slots. Pop the layered labels up on the card front layers with dimensionals, wrap the ribbon around the layers and adhere on the reverse. Adhere the layers direct to the card front. Pop the balloons up above the strings using dimensionals. Finish the label with 2020–2022 In Color Enamel Dots.
On the Whisper White insert, stamp another sentiment from the Hippo Happiness set using Misty Moonlight ink. Using BumbleBee ink, stamp the solid butterfly in the top right corner. Stamp the solid ewe twice, in the bottom right corner with Blushing Bride ink. Add bodies and heads with Magenta Madness ink. Stamp the detailed butterfly over the top of the solid one with Misty Moonlight ink, then the spiral trail, stamping off first. Add faces to the butterfly and the lambs with the same ink.
Thanks for stopping by.
