This Navy snowflake Christmas card was another of the make and takes at our August Paper Dolls Inspiration Meeting.
As I explained in this earlier post, the theme of our meeting was mixing new products, with those that we already have in our stash. This project combines the new Winter Snow embossing folder, So Many Snowflakes dies and Blue Adhesive-backed Gems with the Snowman Season stamp set.
The embossed snowflakes are quite subtle and don’t show so well in the photo above. You can see them more clearly further down.
COLOUR COMBO
This colour combo mixes Night of Navy, Seaside Spray and Whisper White.
INSTRUCTIONS
Start with an A6 portrait card of Night of Navy. Run a card front layer of Whisper White card through the Winter Snow embossing folder before adhering direct to a larger card front layer of Seaside Spray. Wrap the layers 2/3 of the way down with Metallic Seaside Spray Ribbon before adhering direct to the card front. Using Night of Navy ink, stamp a sentiment from the Snowman Season set onto a scrap of Whisper White card. Die cut out with an Ornate Frames shape. Adhere this direct to a larger Ornate Frames shape die cut from Night of Navy card. Pop the sentiment up on the card front with dimensionals.
Die cut a large detailed snowflake from Night of Navy, and a medium one from Seaside Spray. Adhere the snowflakes together and add to the middle of the ribbon with a Mini Glue Dot. Finish the centre of the die cut snowflake with a Blue Adhesive-backed Gem.
On the Whisper White insert, stamp another sentiment from the Snowman Season set using Night of Navy ink. Stamp the snowflakes from the set diagonally above and below the sentiment, stamping each off first for a paler shade.
Thanks for stopping by.
