Storybook greenery birthday card

September 24, 2020

This storybook greenery birthday card was a special card for my Mum. Did you figure that out already? 😂

I’m not able to provide a full tutorial today – sorry for that. I resized the storybook card for A5 but forgot to note my measurements before I posted the card off! I have got a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Start with an A5 portrait card of Pretty Peacock. Mat a card front layer of Forever Greenery DSP. On a smaller panel of Pretty Peacock, mat a different pattern of the same DSP. Wrap the panel with Old Olive and Pretty Peacock Reversible Ribbon and tie on a knot of the same ribbon before popping up on dimensionals on the card front.

On a large scrap of Whisper White card, stamp a sentiment from Many Mates using Memento Black ink. Colour with Stampin’ Blends before die cutting out with a Stitched Shape circle. Adhere a Gold Hoop Embellishment over the circle. Using Forever Flourishing dies, die cut a selection of larger and smaller leaves from Gold Foil and adhere these in front and behind the sentiment circle before popping up over the top of the ribbon. Finish with Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems.

Add a large scrap of Pretty Peacock card to some Foam Adhesive Sheet and die cut the “MUM” letters from it using the Playful Alphabet dies. Pop these up in the centre underneath the ribbon.

On the storybook insert, add panels of the same pattern of Forever Greenery DSP down either side. Using Memento Black ink, stamp sentiments from Itty Bitty Birthdays and Many Mates onto separate Whisper White panels. Using Old Olive and Pretty Peacock inks, stamp leaves from the Forever Ferns set below the Itty Bitty Birthdays sentiment. Colour the Many Mates sentiment with Blends before adhering the panels in the centre.

Thanks for stopping by.
