Today’s tutorial is for a Coming Home Christmas card. Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week it’s the Coming Home bundle and I’ll have a selection of tutorials for you that use it.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the Coming Home Christmas card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
The Trimming the Town suite not only has the Coming Home bundle but also a pretty ribbon combo pack and a bright and fun set of DSP. The DSP is very versatile and I’ve already used it with the Gnome for the Holidays set.
What’s especially wonderful about this suite is that for every purchase of either the stamp set alone, or the bundle, Stampin’ Up! will make a donation to charities devoted to adoption, foster care, and infertility ❤️
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Poppy Parade, Old Olive and Crumb Cake.
Coming Home Christmas card tutorial
Start with a small square card of Poppy Parade. Cut four small squares of Whisper White card. Trim a greeting from Trimming the Town DSP and adhere direct to one of the squares. Using Memento Black ink, stamp the small house from the Coming Home set onto another square and colour with Blends. Adhere the two prepared squares and the two blank squares evenly on a mat of Crumb Cake. Mat onto Old Olive card. Wrap Poppy Parade Ribbon from the All The Trimmings Combo Pack in between the white squares and secure on the reverse before popping up on the card front with dimensionals. Using Memento Black ink, stamp the small tree and the teeny wreath from the Coming Home set onto scraps of Whisper White. Colour with Blends and die cut out with the Home Together dies. Pop up in the blank white squares with mini dimensionals. Finish by adding a bow of the Poppy Parade ribbon at top centre of the card with a Mini Glue Dot.
Coming Home Christmas card insert
On the Whisper White insert, using Poppy Parade ink, stamp a sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals set. Add houses from the Coming Home set in each lower corner, stamping off the edge of the card to still allow space for writing.
Thanks for stopping by.
