My tutorial today is another poinsettia one, this time a personalised, poinsettia daughter Christmas card.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the poinsettia daughter card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Unfortunately, the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper has sold out but you can still get hold of the Poinsettia bundle and the Red Velvet Paper. The Beaded Pearls have also sold out but you can use the same Basic Pearls that I use on the sentiment.

Colour Combo

The colour combo mixes Real Red, Whisper White and Smoky Slate.

Poinsettia daughter card tutorial

Start with an A6 portrait card of Real Red. Cut a card front layer of Plush Poinsettia. Adhere direct to a mat of Real Red and then one of Smoky Slate. Wrap Real Red Sheer Ribbon around the layers approx. 1/3 from base before adhering the layers direct to the card front. Die cut a Stitched So Sweetly label from Whisper White card. Using Real Red ink, stamp a sentiment from Poinsettia Petals onto the label. Add the personalisation below the sentiment using the same Real Red ink and the appropriate relative from the Family Party set. Adhere direct to a larger Stitched So Sweetly label die cut from Real Red card. Pop the sentiment layers up on the card front with dimensionals.

Die cut and emboss three sizes of poinsettia from Red Velvet card, using the Poinsettia dies. Curl the petals over a bone folder and adhere the layers together directly. Adhere the poinsettia direct to the card front, over the ribbon. Finish with Beaded/Basic Pearls to the centre of the flower and the sides of the sentiment.

On the Whisper White insert, using Real Red ink, stamp a sentiment from the Wrapped in Christmas set and frame from the Warm Hugs set. Add poinsettias from the Poinsettia Petals set.

The same Red Velvet Paper was combined with the Snowflake Wishes and Family Party sets to make this personalised version of the Red Velvet Snowflake card.
