Tutorial for vellum art card

January 6, 2021

My tutorial today is for a vellum fine art floral birthday card. The vellum circle provides a frame for the die cut text.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the vellum fine art floral birthday card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

The Fine Art Floral DSP has a wonderful range of colours. On Monday I shared a pink toned card, today we have blues and grays. On the reverse of each bold floral design is a more subtle pattern.

Reminder – you can now choose a free Sale-a-bration product with every £45 you spend.

Start with an A6 landscape card of Pretty Peacock. Mat with a layer of Fine Art Floral DSP. Using the Stitched Shapes set, die cut a large circle from Vellum. Cut a piece of Pretty Peacock card just larger than the text die in the Floral Gallery die set. Back with Foam Adhesive Sheet and then die cut out the text. Adhere the dimensional text to the vellum circle. Apply adhesive behind the text (so that it won’t show) and adhere direct to the card front. Using Pretty Peacock ink, stamp the birthday sentiment from the Art Gallery set onto a scrap of Whisper White*. Pop up the sentiment on mini dimensionals slightly overlapping the circle.

*Please note that we are waiting on the new Basic White card as a replacement for Whisper White. Shimmery White is a good alternative in the interim.

On the Whisper White insert, using Pretty Peacock ink, stamp another sentiment from the Fine Art Floral set. In the lower right corner, stamp the larger (2-step) flower from the Art Gallery set, using Pool Party ink for the first step and Pretty Peacock for the second.

This project was another one of the make & take projects for my Paper Dolls team meeting in December. Why don’t you take advantage of the very best deal and join my team, saving money and joining a fun crafting family.

Thanks for stopping by.
