Today’s tutorial is for a paper blooms butterfly card. It combines the Paper Blooms DSP (one of our Sale-a-bration freebies) with the Butterfly Gems.
Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Butterfly Gems. If you need something to top up your basket and qualify for the £45 Sale-a-bration freebie, then these are a great option at £6 for the pack. I’ll have a selection of tutorials for you throughout the week that use them.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the paper blooms butterfly card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
Each pack of Butterfly Gems contains 100 pieces – 20 each of 5 colours. The gems are in the 2019-2021 In Colors; Pretty Peacock, Purple Posy, Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray and Terracotta Tile.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Seaside Spray, Night of Navy and Whisper White.
Paper blooms butterfly card tutorial
Start with an A6 portrait card of Seaside Spray. Cut two different patterns of Paper Blooms DSP and mat onto Night Of Navy card. Wrap Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon over the join in the DSP before adhering direct to the card front. Die cut a label from Basic White card using the Painted Label dies. Using Night of Navy ink, stamp a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set. Pop the sentiment up on the card front with dimensionals. Finish with a bow of the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon and some Butterfly Gems.
Paper blooms butterfly card insert
On the Whisper White insert, using Night of Navy ink, stamp a sentiment from the Approaching Perfection set. Add a border along the base, of one of the patterns of Paper Blooms DSP used on the card front.
Thanks for stopping by.
