My tutorial today is for a more masculine donkey card. Instead of grey to colour him, this time I used Crumb Cake.
The ribbon used is a faux suede, carrying through the masculine theme.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the masculine donkey card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
Again, I’ve also incorporated another Sale-a-bration freebie – the Flower & Field DSP. I selected one of the plainer patterns within the pack. This brightens the card without it becoming too feminine.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Early Espresso, Bumble Bee and Crumb Cake.
Masculine donkey card tutorial
Start with an A6 portrait card of Early Espresso. Adhere a card front layer of Flower & Field DSP to a mat of Crumb Cake. Wrap Faux Suede Trim close to the top and left edges of the layers before popping them up on the card front with dimensionals.
Using Memento Black ink, stamp the sitting donkey from the Darling Donkeys set onto a small square of Basic White card. Add a sentiment from the set in the negative space of the upper left corner of the square. Colour the donkey with Blends. Using the Snail dies, die cut out the large postage stamp from Early Espresso card. Adhere the stamped square direct to the die cut square, before popping up on the card front with dimensionals.
Masculine donkey card insert
On the Basic White insert, using Early Espresso ink, stamp further sentiments from the Darling Donkeys set and add the happy donkey below.
Thanks for stopping by.
