My tutorial today is for a Forever Gold thanks card. This time I’m using a bunch of the separate leaves that are part of the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper. This Specialty Paper is retiring at the end of April so it’s only available while stocks last – don’t miss out.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the Forever Gold thanks card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
I’ve chosen to make this card a thank you but I think it would also work as a birthday, anniversary, get well or even a sympathy card. If the black and white background is a little too sombre for you then feel free to add a splash of colour.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Basic Black, Basic White and Metallic Gold.
Forever Gold thank you card
Start with an A6 portrait card of Basic Black. Mat with True Love DSP. Cut a strip of another pattern of True Love DSP (I used the same paper but flipped it over for the pattern on the other side), mat onto a strip of Basic Black card and adhere direct to the card front. Using the Painted Labels die set, cut a swirly circle from Basic Black card. Die cut the narrower embossed label from Basic White card. Pop the circle up on the card front with dimensionals. Using Memento Black ink, stamp the sentiment from the Peaceful Moment set onto the white label. Add to the card front by popping up the overhanging edges with dimensionals and adhering direct where the label overlaps the circle.
Gather together four or so different leaves pressed from the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper. Wrap a Mini Glue Dot around the stems to hold them together. Tie gold thread from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack around the stems in a bow. Add the tied leaves to the front of the circle and label with Mini Glue Dots.
Forever Gold thank you card insert
On the Very Vanilla insert, add a strip of the same pattern of True Love DSP used on the front.
Thanks for stopping by.
