Today’s tutorial is for a blackberry ribbon pansy birthday card. This time the ribbon isn’t the main feature as it was here, but is just a tiny embellishment. Although it’s small, it looks very even and professional.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the blackberry ribbon pansy birthday card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
For this card, the pansy and the leaves were simply die cut from the DSP. As I used the stamp set for the sentiment I could easily have stamped the same images but die cutting was much quicker and they more closely match the pansies in the background.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Fresh Freesia, Blackberry Bliss and Soft Succulent.
The Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon is only available until the end of June or while supplies last. As it is on low inventory I don’t think that those supplies will last too long so please order straight away if you don’t want it to slip away.

Start with an A6 portrait card of Fresh Freesia. Cut and adhere card front layers of Blackberry Bliss and Pansy Petals DSP. Using the Hippo & Friends dies, die cut the two largest elongated hexagon shapes from Blackberry Bliss and Basic White card. Stamp the sentiment from the Pansy Patch set onto the Basic White label with Blackberry Bliss ink. Adhere the two labels together direct and pop them up on the card front with dimensionals. Use the Pansy dies to die cut a large pansy and a couple of leaves from the Pansy Petals DSP. Pop these up on dimensionals at the bottom left corner of the labels. Tie a teeny bow of Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon and add this with a Mini Glue Dot.
Here’s a “quick tip video” showing how to create the dinky bows using a fork! Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to make sure you see all future quick tips.

On the inside of the card, stamp another sentiment from the Pansy Patch stamp set with Blackberry Bliss ink. Add a border of the same Pansy Petals DSP (a sliver cut from the layer on the front) down the right hand side.
Thanks for stopping by.
