Today’s tutorial is for a happiest pattern birthday card. This is another quick and easy card but this time we’re adding a pop of coloured card.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the happiest pattern birthday card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
The Pattern Party DSP pack is kind of hidden. You won’t find it with the other DSPs because this one is only available to our hosts earning Stampin’ Rewards (those people who host a stamping party, or collect, or place orders of £150 or more). This is no ordinary DSP pack as you get 48 sheets of 12″ x 12″ DSP, 4 each of 12 double-sided designs, coloured patterns on one side and black and white patterns on the other side. Get together with a bunch of friends and combine your wish lists and you could earn and split the pack between you (email me if you want more info).
Not sure that you can earn the Pattern Party pack? We have a brand new special offer on selected DSP that will run 1 July – 2 August so please pop back here soon.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Poppy Parade, Basic Black and Basic White.
Happiest pattern birthday card
Start with an A6 portrait card of Poppy Parade. Cut a narrow card front layer of Pattern Party DSP and adhere direct to the right side of the card. Cut a skinny strip of the reverse pattern and adhere direct to the left of the card front. (Note – unfortunately you can’t simply cut a strip from the same pattern in the same direction unless you’re happy with vertical black and white stripes). Add a skinny strip of Poppy Parade card over the join in the DSP. Using Memento Black ink, stamp the small sentiment from the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set on a scrap of Basic White card. Trim the sentiment with a small margin around the stamped box. Adhere this direct to a mat of Poppy Parade and pop up on the card front with dimensionals.
Happiest pattern birthday card insert
On the Basic White insert, stamp another sentiment from the Happiest of Birthdays set using Memento Black ink. Add a thin strip of the same pattern of DSP used on the front, down at the base.
Thanks for stopping by.
