Today’s tutorial is for a quick penned thank you card. The design shows both sides of one of our pretty papers.
Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Hand-Penned DSP (another pattern pack with 15% off the usual price in our DSP sale). I’ll have a selection of tutorials for you throughout the week that share different ideas for using this DSP on your projects. I’ll also be sneaking in a few peeks at some of the new products from the mini catalogue and Sale-a-bration, both launching on 3 August.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the quick penned thank you card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Misty Moonlight, Daffodil Delight and Pale Papaya.
Quick penned thank you card
Start with an A6 portrait card of Misty Moonlight. Cut a card front layer of the Hand-Penned DSP. Trim vertically at 1-1/2″, flip one side over and adhere the pieces direct to the card front. Adhere a skinny strip of Misty Moonlight card over the join in the DSP. Using the Scalloped Contours dies, die cut a small scallop label from Basic White card. Using Misty Moonlight ink, stamp a sentiment from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set onto the label. Mat onto Misty Moonlight card and pop up on the card front with dimensionals. Finish with a trio of Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems.
