Today’s tutorial is for a shaded summer peach birthday card. A subtle patterned paper is used beneath the stamped image and sentiment.
Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Shaded Summer stamp set. I’ll have a selection of tutorials for you throughout the week that share different ideas for using the images and the sentiments from this set on your projects. I’ll also be sneaking in a few peeks at another new product from our upcoming Sale-a-bration, which launches on 3 August.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the shaded summer peach birthday card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
The You’re a Peach DSP pack is included our DSP sale and has 15% off until 2 August.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Calypso Coral, Balmy Blue and Night of Navy.
Shaded summer peach birthday card
Start with an A6 portrait card of Calypso Coral. Adhere a card front layer of one the bolder patterns of You’re a Peach DSP, direct to the card front. Using Night of Navy ink, stamp an image and a sentiment from the Shaded Summer stamp set onto a subtle patterned panel of You’re a Peach DSP. Mat onto Night of Navy card and pop up on the card front with dimensionals. Finish with a Blue Adhesive-Backed Gem in the centre of the stamped flower.
Here’s a short video showing how this quick card comes together. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my quick cards and quick tips each week.
Shaded summer peach birthday card insert
On the Basic White insert, stamp flowers and another sentiment from the Shaded Summer set using Balmy Blue ink.
Thanks for stopping by.
