Tutorial for Sheep dies congrats

August 3, 2021

Today’s tutorial is for a Sheep dies congrats card. I know! There’s not a sheep in sight 😂 I’m just using a few of the dies to create a quick card today. The sheep will make an appearance I promise!

Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Sheep die set (one of our Sale-a-bration products free with purchase). I’ll have a selection of tutorials for you throughout the week that share different ideas for using the dies on your projects. The dies also have a matching stamp set (also available as a Sale-a-bration freebie). I’ll also be using the stamps but I’m concentrating on the dies as they’re only available while supplies last.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the Sheep dies congrats card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything anything you don’t already own (the order code for the Sheep die set is 156600).

Colour Combo

The colour combo mixes Balmy Blue, So Saffron and Calypso Coral. The colours are all from the Soft Subtles colour palette (so only need a mixed card pack).

Start with a small square card of Balmy Blue. Cut a card front layer of more Balmy Blue. Using Memento Black ink, stamp a sentiment from the Daisy Lane set in the upper left corner of the layer. Using the Sheep dies, die cut a sun from So Saffron card, balloon from Calypso Coral card and two clouds from Basic White card. Pop these up on the card front with mini/dimensionals. Adhere the card front layer direct to the card front.

Here’s a short video showing how this quick card comes together. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my quick cards and quick tips each week.

On theBasic White insert, stamp a sentiment from the Art Gallery set using the Memento Black ink. In the lower right corner, stamp the smaller (2-step) flower from the same set, using Calypso Coral ink that has been stamped off once for the first step and at full strength for the second.

Thanks for stopping by.
