Tutorial for sheep birthday card



Today’s tutorial is for a Sheep birthday card. This time we’re combining the Sheep dies with the matching Counting Sheep stamp set. This is another Sale-a-bration product that is free with a £45 purchase. Spend £90 and you can get both stamps and dies for free!

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the Sheep birthday card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own (the order code for the Sheep die set is 156600, Counting Sheep set is 156591 and Penguin Playmates DSP is 158420).

Colour Combo

The colour combo mixes Just Jade, Polished Pink and Daffodil Delight.

Sheep birthday card

Start with an A6 landscape card of Polished Pink. Cut a card front layer of Basic White and using Memento Black ink, stamp a sentiment from the Counting Sheep in the upper right corner (leaving room for the sun). Adhere a Just Jade pattern of the Penguin Playmates DSP across the base of the card front layer before adhering direct to the card front. Using Memento Black ink, stamp the standing sheep and the party hat from the Counting Sheep set onto a large scrap of Basic White card. Colour the sheep with the Light Petal Pink, Light Smokey Slate and Color Lifter Blends and hat with dark Polished Pink and Just Jade Blends.

Using the Sheep dies, die cut out with stamped and coloured elements. Use the same die set to cut out a gate from Crumb Cake card, sun and balloon from Daffodil Delight card, two more balloons from Polished Pink and Fresh Freesia card and grass/clouds from the DSP used earlier. Pop all the elements up on the card front with mini/dimensionals.

Sheep birthday card insert

On the Basic White insert, stamp another sentiment and a different sheep from the stamp set using Memento Black ink. Colour the sheep with the Light Petal Pink, Light Smokey Slate and Color Lifter Blends.
