Today’s tutorial is for a Playful Snowflake Christmas card. This time I’m teaming the Wonderful Snowflakes with the Penguin Playmates DSP (this set of papers is free with a £45 purchase during Sale-a-bration).

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the Playful Snowflake Christmas card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Colour Combo

The colour combo mixes Misty Moonlight, Fresh Freesia and Highland Heather.

Playful Snowflake Christmas card

Start with an A6 portrait card of Highland Heather. Cut a long narrow panel of a Freesia panel of Penguin Playmates DSP. Using Misty Moonlight ink stamp a sentiment from the Sparkle of the Season vertically direct to the patterned paper. Cut a wider panel of the Misty Moonlight pattern of Penguin Playmates DSP to make up the remainder of the card front and adhere direct. Cut a Wonderful Snowflake in half. Adhere one half to the top of the Moonlight panel and the other half to the base. Adhere a full Wonderful Snowflake in between the two halves.

Using the Penguin Builder punch, punch the two main parts of the penguin from Basic Black and Basic White card. Add the eyes from the Penguin Place stamp set with Memento Black ink. Stamp the beak using Calypso Coral ink and add the bow tie with Misty Moonlight ink. Adhere the two parts of the penguin direct and then pop up on the card front in the centre of the full snowflake with dimensionals.

On the Basic White insert, using a Misty Moonlight ink, stamp another sentiment from the Sparkle of the Season set. Using Memento Black ink, stamp the snowbank and the sledding penguin at the base of the insert. Stamp the beak using Calypso Coral ink and add the hat with Misty Moonlight ink.
