Today’s tutorial is for a Merriest Summer birthday card. I wanted to show that the Merriest Frames can be used year round as well as being perfect for Christmas and winter celebrations.
This was one of the cards that we made at our August Team Meeting. If you’d like to know more about joining my Paper Dolls team, then please get in touch (email me here), this month is the best time to do so, as there are extra joining benefits until the end of Sale-a-bration.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the Merriest Summer birthday card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen.
Merriest Summer birthday card
Start with an A6 portrait card of Pale Papaya. Using Pale Papaya ink, stamp the small sprig from the Shaded Summer stamp set along the top and bottom of the card front. Die cut the largest solid outline frame from Evening Evergreen card using the die from the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder set. Use the large detailed die to die cut from Soft Succulent card and emboss with the Merriest Frames embossing folder before adhering direct to the Evergreen outline. Pop up on the card front with dimensionals.
Using Pale Papaya ink, stamp an image and a sentiment from the Shaded Summer stamp set onto a stitched die cut panel of Basic White card. Adhere direct to the card front. Finish with Genial Gems and a bow of Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon.
Merriest Summer birthday card insert
On the Basic White insert, using Pale Papaya ink, stamp another sentiment and an image from the Shaded Summer set. Add a strip of Hand-Penned DSP down the right side.
Thanks for stopping by.
