Today’s tutorial is for a peaceful prints gift bag. Sale-a-bration DSP is a great excuse to use larger pieces of the paper to create 3D projects such as this.

Colour Combo

The colour combo mixes Cherry Cobbler, Metallic Gold and Basic White.

Start with a 6″ x 12″ piece of Peaceful Prints DSP. With the long edge at the top of the Trimmer, score at 4-1/4″, 5-3/4″, 10″, and 11-1/2″. Turn the paper clockwise so that the short edge is at the top and score at 1-1/2″ and 5″. Rotate the paper counter-clockwise to its original position. Cut up each vertical score line from the base as far as the first horizontal scoreline. Cut in each right hand horizontal scoreline as far the the first vertical scoreline (this should fully cut away the lower right segment). Assemble the gift bag (see tips video below). Punch two holes in the folded bag collar. Thread Cherry Cobbler & Gold Ribbon through the holes and knot to form the gift bag handles.

This bag could be stepped up in a variety of ways. I’m waiting to see which card I use it with, to choose how to step it up, but here are a few options:

• add a Wonderful Snowflake to co-ordinate with this Peaceful Snowflake Christmas card
• add a sentiment panel to co-ordinate with this September workshop Christmas card
• or simply add Rhinestones or Gilded Gems to the centres of the snowflakes for a bit of bling
