Today’s tutorial is for a super simple peaceful place Christmas card. The beautiful foiled paper does all the work.
Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Peaceful Place Specialty DSP. I’ve already used another pattern of this paper for the faux bow Christmas card I created. I’ll have a selection of tutorials for you throughout the week that share different ideas for using the papers on your projects.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the super simple peaceful place Christmas card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Night of Navy, Basic White and Metallic Silver.
Super simple peaceful place Christmas card
Start with an A6 portrait card of Night of Navy. Cut a panel (3-7/8″ wide) from the Peaceful Place Specialty DSP. Using Night of Navy ink, stamp a sentiment from the Sparkle of the Season set on the negative space below the trees. Trim the panel top and bottom (5-1/2″) and adhere direct to the front of the card.
Here’s a short video showing how this quick card comes together. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my quick cards and quick tips each week.
Super simple peaceful place Christmas card insert
On the Basic White insert, using Night of Navy ink, stamp another sentiment from the Sparkle of the Season set. Add a flurry of snowflakes diagonally across the insert, stamping without reinking for the paler shade moving down.
For this stepped up version in Blackberry Bliss, I added a Stitched Snowflake die cut from Silver Foil. It was popped up on a mini dimensional and finished in the centre with a Basic Rhinestone.
Thanks for stopping by.
