Today’s tutorial is for a quick masculine metallic birthday card. A simple textured background of metallic card gives a real look of luxury.
Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Brushed Metallic cardstock. Each pack contains six 12″ x 12″ sheets of brushed metallic card, two sheets each of Bronze, Copper and Gold. Use a full card front layer as here, or use scraps for adding a touch of glitz to your projects. I used some of this Brushed Metallic card for a more feminine birthday card here.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the masculine metallic birthday card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Early Espresso, Metallic Bronze and Very Vanilla.
Masculine metallic birthday card
Start with an A6 portrait card of Early Espresso. Cut a card front layer (3-5/8″ x 5-1/4″) of Brushed Metallic (Bronze) card. Run through the Hammered Metal embossing folder. Adhere direct to the card front. Using the Stitched So Sweetly die set, die cut a large oval label from Early Espresso card and a smaller curved rectangle from Very Vanilla card. Using Early Espresso ink, stamp a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments set onto the vanilla label. Pop the stamped layer up on dimensionals onto the espresso label and then again on dimensionals onto the card front.
Here’s a short video showing how this quick card comes together. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my quick cards and quick tips each week.
Masculine metallic birthday card insert
On the Very Vanilla insert, using Early Espresso ink, stamp a sentiment from the Happiest of Birthdays set.
