Today’s tutorial is for a simple Christmas expressions card. It combines the beautiful Expressions In Ink Specialty DSP with a simple sentiment.
Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, for the first time, I’m repeating a previous pick of the week (POW). I chose the Expressions in Ink Specialty DSP as my POW back in June but I’ve picked it again, because as well as creating great bright summer projects, this paper is ideal for Christmas too.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the simple Christmas expressions card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Pear Pizzazz, Basic White and Metallic Gold.
Simple Christmas expressions card
Start with an A6 portrait card of Pear Pizzazz. Cut a card front layer (3-7/8″ x 5-1/2″) of Expressions in Ink DSP. Adhere direct to the card front. Using Pear Pizzazz ink, stamp a sentiment from the Sparkle of the Season set onto a small panel of Basic White card. Mat onto Pear Pizzazz card and pop up on dimensionals onto the card front. Stop here …
… or step it up with a simple embellishment. Using the Seasonal Swirls dies, die cut a pair of holly leaves from Pear Pizzazz card and adhere to the side of the sentiment. Finish with a trio of the gold Metallic Pearls.

Simple Christmas expressions card insert
On the Basic White insert, using Pear Pizzazz ink, stamp a sentiment from the Sparkle of the Season set. Add a border of fir tree branches across the top using the same ink.
