Tutorial for cloche Christmas card

December 7, 2021

Today’s tutorial is for a cloche Christmas card. This simple, stamped card uses the limited edition Ever Eden Specialty DSP for the background.

The Specialty DSP, together with the Cotton Paper and the Garden Gems are only available until 3 January, or while stocks last.

Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush. I’ll have a selection of tutorials for you throughout the week that share different ideas for adding a touch of glitz to your projects with this preloaded brush.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the cloche Christmas card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything anything you don’t already own.

Start with an A6 landscape card of Soft Succulent. Mat with a card front layer of Ever Eden Specialty DSP. Cut a 4″ x 2″ panel of Basic White card. Using Memento Black ink, stamp the outline of the village from the Classic Cloche set, to the left of the panel. Stamp a sentiment from the same set to the right using Soft Succulent ink. Use this same ink to overstamp the trees on the village. Overstamp the houses with Crumb Cake ink. Add a little “frost” to the roofs and snowbanks with the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush. Once dry, mat onto Soft Succulent card and pop up on the card front with dimensionals.

Here’s a short video showing how this quick card comes together. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my quick cards and quick tips each week.

On the Basic White insert, using Soft Succulent ink, stamp a sentiment from the Classic Cloche stamp set. Add the outline stamp of the birds in the branches with Memento Black ink. Overstamp the branches with Soft Succulent ink and the birds with Crumb Cake ink.

Thanks for stopping by.
