Tutorial for wink anniversary card

December 8, 2021

Today’s tutorial is for a wink anniversary card. Wink of Stella Glitter Brush is painted onto You’re a Peach DSP to create our own specialty paper.

I had a request recently for more tutorials on anniversary cards. It’s always more fun to create with a purpose, so this card is for Cherry. I hope you’re inspired by the project.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the wink anniversary card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

The photos don’t show the shimmer very well but hopefully the video on Friday will show it off better.

Colour Combo

The colour combo mixes Calypso Coral, Balmy Blue and Early Espresso.

Start with an A6 portrait card of Calypso Coral. Cut a card front layer of You’re a Peach DSP and paint the centres of all the blossoms with the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (I’ll share a video for this on Friday). Once dry, adhere direct to a mat of Balmy Blue card and then direct to the card front. On a panel of Basic White card, stamp a sentiment from the Elegantly Said set to the right, with Calypso Coral ink. Mat onto Balmy Blue card and then onto Calypso Coral card. Using the Cherry Blossoms die set, die cut stems from Early Espresso card. Adhere to the left side of the sentiment panel and trim away any excess. Die cut two of the blossoms from Calypso Coral card, paint the centres with Wink of Stella and pop up over the stems with dimesionals. Die cut stamens from Early Espresso card and adhere direct to the centres of the blossoms. Finish the centres of all blossoms, both die cut and DSP, with Elegant Faceted Gems.

On the Basic White insert, using Calypso Coral ink, stamp another sentiment from the Elegantly Said set. Add a strip of Wink of Stella painted DSP along the base and a skinny strip of Balmy Blue right above it.

Thanks for stopping by.

    Hi Sara
On the Calypso Coral anniversary card, which die cut was used for the flowers on the front?

    Thanks so much!

      Hi Nanci
The flowers were die cut with the Cherry Blossoms die set but that set retired quite a while back. There are quite a few newer floral dies available instead eg. Sentimental Park.
      Hope this helps
