Today’s tutorial is for a Special Moments sympathy card. Among the many sentiments in the Special Moment set (free with a £90 purchase during Sale-a-bration), is a sympathy message. Regular readers will know that I always prefer to make this type of card in advance rather than when there is a need.
The Special Moments stamp set includes 21 sentiments in total. The set allows you to create for plenty of happy occasions, as well as providing support to friends and family who might need it. If using this card design for a happier event, then simply choose a less sombre pattern of the Simply Elegant DSP.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the Special Moments sympathy card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything anything you don’t already own (the order code for the Special Moments stamp set is 158081).
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Basic Gray.
Special Moments sympathy card
Start with an A6 portrait card of Basic Black. Mat with a card front layer of Very Vanilla and then one of Simply Elegant DSP. Using the Ornate Frames die set, die cut a plain label from Very Vanilla card and a co-ordinating ornate label from Basic Black card. Stamp the sentiment from the Special Moments stamp set onto the vanilla label using Memento Black ink. Adhere the two labels together direct and pop up on the card front with dimensionals.
Special Moments sympathy card insert
On the Very Vanilla insert, using Memento Black ink, stamp another sentiment from the Special Moments set. Add a border of the Simply Elegant DSP along the base.
Thanks for stopping by.
