Today’s tutorial is for an Ocean Waves Hydrangea card. Our Waves of the Ocean DSP isn’t only for coastal and seascape cards. Here it’s used to create a floral thank you card. The Hydrangea Haven bundle is one of those on sale this month.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the Ocean Waves Hydrangea card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Just Jade, Petal Pink and Calypso Coral.
Ocean Waves Hydrangea card
Start with an A6 portrait card of Just Jade. Mat with Basic White card and then Artfully Composed DSP. Cut a large panel of Basic White card and using Just Jade ink, stamp a sentiment from the Hydrangea Haven set in the lower right corner. Adhere the panel direct to the card front. Use the Hydrangea dies to die cut an outline flowerhead from Calypso Coral and the leaves from Waves of the Ocean DSP. Trim both to fit together. Back a scrap of Just Jade card with Adhesive Sheet before die cutting the detailed leaf. Adhere the skeleton leaf to the DSP outline. Die cut the detailed flower head from Waves of the Ocean DSP. Flick all the teeny petals up before adhering the DSP flower to the Calypso Coral die cut. Pop both the leaves and flowerhead up on dimensionals on the card front.
Here’s a short video with tips on how to choose your section of DSP when die cutting. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my quick cards and quick tips each week.
Ocean Waves Hydrangea card insert
On the Basic White insert, using Just Jade ink, stamp another sentiment from the Hydrangea Haven set. Add a border of Artfully Composed DSP at the base.
Thanks for stopping by.
