Today’s tutorial is for a quick Squared Away birthday card. For this card I’m just using stamps, card and ink.
Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the All Squared Away bundle which is one of the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss compatible bundles with 20% off this month. I’ll have a selection of tutorials for you throughout the week, that share different ideas for using these stamps and dies.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the quick Squared Away birthday card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Coastal Cabana, Night of Navy and Poppy Parade.
Quick Squared Away birthday card
Start with an A6 landscape card of Coastal Cabana. Cut a card front layer (3-7/8″ x 5-1/2″) of Poppy Parade and adhere centrally, direct to the card front. Cut the next layer (3-5/8″ x 5-1/4″) of Night of Navy card and adhere centrally, direct to the card front. Using Coastal Cabana ink, stamp all four square patterns from the All Squared Away set onto Basic White card. Trim the squares to have a narrow white margin around each stamped square. Once the Cabana ink is dry, use Memento Black ink to stamp a sentiment over the top of one of the patterns. Pop the squares up across the front of the card with dimensionals, overlapping each one and finishing with the sentiment.
Here’s a short video showing how this quick card comes together and you get to see all the papers. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my quick cards and quick tips each week.
Quick Squared Away birthday card insert
On the Basic White insert, using Memento Black ink, stamp another sentiment from the All Squared Away set.
