Today’s tutorial is for a shimmer Squared Away card. The Supple Shimmer Specialty Paper comes in a pack that contains both Pink and Blue. I decided to go with shades of Pink for this card.
The All Squared Away bundle is one of the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss compatible bundles with 20% off this month.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the shimmer Squared Away card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Flirty Flamingo, Merry Merlot and Basic White.
Shimmer Squared Away card
Start with an A6 portrait card of Merry Merlot. Cut a card front layer of Flirty Flamingo and run through the Gingham Embossing Folder. Adhere direct to the card front. Using the Floral Squares dies, die cut a flower from Merry Merlot card. Cut a square of Pink Supple Shimmer Specialty Paper slightly larger than the die cut square. Cut another square of Merry Merlot card slight bigger than the Shimmer Paper. Adhere the Shimmer Paper direct to the plain Merlot square. Pop the die cut Merlot flower up on the layers with Mini Dimensionals. (Tip – a spot of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on each mini dimensional will give a stronger bond). Using Merry Merlot ink, stamp a sentiment from the All Squared Away set onto a skinny strip of Basic White card. Mat onto Merry Merlot card and pop up at the right edge of the card front layers with dimensionals.
Shimmer Squared Away card insert
Die cut another Floral Square from the bottom right of the Basic White insert. Using Merry Merlot ink, stamp another sentiment from the All Squared Away set. Adhere the insert in place and then adhere the die cut flower into the square window.
Thanks for stopping by.
