Today’s tutorial is for a quick Welcoming Window card. For this card I’m just using stamps, ink and the Notecards & Envelopes Pack.
Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Welcoming Window bundle which is one of the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss compatible bundles with 20% off this month. I’ll have a selection of tutorials for you throughout the week, that share different ideas for using these stamps and dies.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the quick Welcoming Window card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Soft Suede, Cajun Craze and Old Olive.
Quick Welcoming Window card
Start with a Basic White note card. (Tip – keep it opened out flat for the best surface to stamp on. Folding first can lift one side of the card up, causing ink smudges). Using Soft Suede ink, stamp the window from the Welcoming Window set onto the upper centre of the card front. Next stamp a sentiment from the set using Cajun Craze ink. (Tip – stamping the sentiment next allows you to build the other elements around it). Use the same ink to stamp the small plant pot onto the windowsill. Stamp the squared off leaves over the top of the plant pot using Old Olive ink. Finally, stamp the bricks randomly around the card front using Soft Suede ink but stamping off first each time for a paler shade. Mask off the back of the card when working on the central area (see video).
Stamp the same plant pot and leaves from the windowsill, on the lower left corner of the envelope.
Here’s a short video showing how this quick card comes together. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my quick cards and quick tips each week.
Quick Welcoming Window card inside
On the inside, using Cajun Craze ink, stamp another sentiment from the Welcoming Window set in the centre and the large plant pot, bottom right. Add leaves over the top of the pot with Old Olive ink and then flowers over the top of that with more Cajun Craze ink.
Thanks for stopping by.
