Today’s tutorial is for a quick Tulip Fields card. For this card I’m only using the stamps with just three colours of ink plus black.
Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Tulip Fields bundle. I’ll have a selection of tutorials for you throughout the week, that share different ideas for using the stamps and dies.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the quick Tulip Fields card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Flirty Flamingo, Blushing Bride and Old Olive.
Quick Tulip Fields card
Start with an A6 portrait card of Blushing Bride. Cut a card front layer (3-5/8″ x 5-1/4″) of Basic White. Using Flirty Flamingo ink, stamp the horizon line stamp from the Tulip Fields set (leaving sufficient room above for the windmill. Stamp the triangular tulip row centrally with Blushing Bride ink. Use the same stamp to stamp further rows with Flirty Flamingo ink, stamping off once for a paler shade. Add the windmill above the tulip fields with Memento Black ink. Use the same ink to add a birthday sentiment from the Peaceful Moments set. Finish by adding a few small trees from the set with Old Olive ink. Adhere the stamped layer direct to the card front.
Here’s a short video showing how this quick card comes together. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my quick cards and quick tips each week.
Quick Tulip Fields card insert
On the inside, using Memento Black ink, stamp a sentiment from the Hello Beautiful set. Add a stamped border (from the Tulip Fields set) across the base, using Flirty Flamingo ink (full strength and then stamped off) and Blushing Bride ink.
This shows an alternative colourway for the card using Poppy Parade and Crushed Curry.
Thanks for stopping by.
