Today’s tutorial is for a Mischievous Mice birthday card. This time we’re going pink and gold and adding a girlie touch of elegance to our mouse.
I just received the Texture Chic Specialty DSP in my online workshop order this week and I’m in lurve! These papers are soooo pretty with shabby chic gold foiling on one side of each pattern. Check them out here.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the Mischievous Mice birthday card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Petal Pink, Metallic Gold and a touch of Metallic Rose Gold.
Mischievous Mice birthday card
Start with an A6 portrait card of Petal Pink. Mat with Texture Chic DSP. Using Versamark ink, stamp the mouse and balloon image and the birthday sentiment from the Mischievous Mice stamp set onto a panel of Basic White card. Cover with Gold Emboss Powder and heat emboss. Colour the mouse with Petal Pink Blends and mat the stamped panel onto Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper. Pop the panel up on the card front with dimensionals. Stamp just the balloon onto a scrap of Texture Chic DSP with Versamark ink and heat emboss with Gold EP again. With the balloon backed with some scrap card to provide extra strength, fussy cut out the balloon and add over the original with a wobble action spring (we don’t stock these unfortunately). Finish with some Champagne Rhinestones.
Mischievous Mice birthday card insert
On the Basic White insert, add a sentiment from the Hello Beautiful set with Memento Black ink. Add another mouse from the Mischievous Mice set in the lower right corner with Petal Pink ink.
Thanks for stopping by.
