Today’s tutorial is for a Beautiful intertwined frame card. A frame of intertwined hexagons is used to highlight the sentiment. This card would work well for an engagement or wedding card.
I share a video below that shows how to create the intertwined frames. Whilst I used layering hexagons for my frame this same technique can be used with any layering or nested die cuts.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the Beautiful intertwined frame card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Pearlescent, Pale Papaya and Metallic Gold.
Beautiful intertwined frame card
Start with an A6 portrait card of Pale Papaya. Cut a card front layer of Pearlescent Specialty Paper and run the layer through the Seashells 3D embossing folder to give it texture. Adhere direct to the card front. Using the Beautiful Shapes dies, die cut two frames from Pale Papaya card and Gold Foil with the two largest hexagon dies. Intertwine these together (see video below). Die cut the largest hexagon from Very Vanilla card. Using Calypso Coral ink, stamp a sentiment from the Happiness Abounds set onto the vanilla hexagon. Adhere the intertwined frames over the sentiment and pop up on the card front with dimensionals. Finish with a Flower Trinket.
Here’s a short video showing how to create the intertwined frames. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my quick cards and quick tips each week.
Beautiful intertwined frame card insert
On the Very Vanilla insert, using Calypso Coral ink, stamp a sentiment from the Happiness Abounds set. Stamp the trio of teeny flowers from the same set along the base, varying the height.
