Today’s tutorial is for a quick circles card. The Layering Circles die set includes 16 dies in total, 8 plain and 8 scalloped. The set has been around for a long time and I use them frequently on my projects. They work well with so many old and new products.
Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Layering Circles dies. I’ll have a selection of tutorials for you throughout the week, that share different ideas for using these dies for both simple and more involved projects.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the quick circles card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo
This colour combo mixes Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo.
Quick circles card
Start with an A6 portrait card of Blushing Bride. Mat with a card front layer (5-1/2″ x 3-7/8″) of Hues of Happiness DSP. Die cut four different size plain circles from Basic White card with the Layering Circle dies. Using Memento Black ink, stamp a sentiment and three different images from the Happiness Abounds stamp set onto the circles. Colour the images with Blends, reversing the colours against the background DSP. Pop the circles up on the card front with dimensionals, overlapping them slightly.
Here’s a short video showing how this quick card comes together. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my quick cards and quick tips each week.
Quick circles card insert
On the Basic White insert, using Memento Black ink, stamp another sentiment from the Happiness Abounds set. Add a border of the Hues of Happiness DSP down the right side.
