Today’s tutorial is for a split circles congrats card. This is a fun idea that can be used in a variety of ways depending on your card layout. I’ve spread both sets of semi-circles out for this landscape layout. I would place them directly above and below for a portrait layout.
The Layering Circles die set has nesting circles that are very close in size and so I selected alternate size circles to expose more of each circle below.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the split circles congrats card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo
This colour combo mixes Petal Pink, Calypso Coral and Cajun Craze.
Split circles congrats card
Start with an A6 landscape card of Petal Pink. Mat with a card front layer of Texture Chic DSP. Die cut three different size circles from Petal Pink, Calypso Coral and Cajun Craze card with the Layering Circle dies. Cut each circle in half. Adhere the semi-circles direct to each other in increasing size, aligning to the left. Using Calypso Coral ink, stamp a sentiment from the Happiness Abounds stamp set onto a skinny strip of Very Vanilla. Adhere the semi-circles behind each end of the strip, one extending upwards and the other down, with Cajun Craze circles lined up to create a flow above and below the sentiment. Pop the sentiment strip and semi-circles up on the card front with dimensionals. Finish with Champagne Rhinestones.
Split circles congrats card insert
On the Very Vanilla insert, using Calypso Coral ink, stamp another sentiment from the Happiness Abounds set. Add skinny borders of Calypso Coral and Cajun Craze card down the right side.
Thanks for stopping by.
