Today’s tutorial is for a rainbow Tree Lot card. This time I’m using the Tree Lot die set with the co-ordinating Trees for Sale stamp set.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the rainbow Tree Lot card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own (the order code for the Tree Lot dies is 159938).

I’ve chosen a rainbow colour combo. Rainbows are significant in so many different ways. This could be a Pride card, it could signify a beloved pet crossing the “rainbow bridge”, or it can simply be a pretty colour combo. I kept the sentiment a little vague so that it can be used in any of those ways.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz, Coastal Cabana and Gorgeous Grape.

Rainbow Tree Lot card

Start with an A6 landscape card of Basic Black. Using Soft Suede ink, stamp the paw prints from the Trees for Sale stamp set onto a card front layer of Basic White. Adhere this direct to the card front. Use the same ink to stamp the sign and the dog onto scraps of Basic White card. Die cut these out with the matching Tree Lot dies and pop up on the card front with mini dimensionals.

Foe each tree, ink up the solid tree with ink, stamp off once and then stamp onto Basic White card. Stamp over the top with the detailed tree in the same ink. Stamp large trees in Poppy Parade and Gorgeous Grape, medium trees in Pumpkin Pie and Coastal Cabana and small trees in Crushed Curry and Pear Pizzazz. Die cut out all the trees with the matching Tree Lot dies and pop them all up on the card from with dimensionals, starting with the smallest at the back and getting larger coming forward, overlapping them slightly.

On the Basic White insert, using Soft Suede ink, stamp a sentiment from the Ringed With Nature set. Add the small paw prints from the Trees for Sale stamp set in the bottom left corner.
