Today’s tutorial is for an Amazing apology card. Back to bright colours for this apology card. The insert has a sentiment which leans towards a belated birthday card but change out that message for any other apology needed.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide. These are all from the 2022-2024 In Colors.

Amazing apology card

Start with an A6 landscape card of Sweet Sorbet. Cut a card front layer of Basic White. Mask off (2-1/2″ of) the right side of the card layer with Masking Paper.Using Tahitian Tide ink, stamp the “Oops!” from the Amazing Phrasing stamp set on a diagonal. Clean the stamp and using Parakeet Party ink, stamp the same word before and after the Tahitian Tide version. Stamp above and below the existing words, ensuring that only half the word lines up. Carry on building the repeat stamping (see video) until the block is full. Remove the masking paper carefully.

Using Sweet Sorbet ink, stamp more phrases from the set over on the right side of the card front layer. Flip the layer over and with the longe edge at the top, score at 3″ and again at 3-1/8″. Turn back over. Using Parakeet Party ink, stamp the small bunch of flowers from the Happiness Abounds set. Adhere the card front layer direct to the card front. Add a teeny bow of Tahitian Tide Metallic Woven Ribbon to the stamped flowers with a Mini Glue Dot.

Amazing apology card insert

On the Basic White insert, using Sweet Sorbet ink, stamp another sentiment from the Amazing Phrasing set. From the back of the insert, score double lines closer to the right edge.
