Today’s tutorial is for a quick larger Lights Aglow card. This supersizes the quick Lights Aglow card I shared as a sneak peek at the end of June.

Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Lights Aglow DSP. I’ll have a selection of tutorials for you throughout the week, that share different ideas for using these papers not only for Christmas but for other occasions too. I’ll also be using the DSP in two of my projects at my Online Workshop on Wednesday night.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the quick larger Lights Aglow card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Cherry Cobbler, Metallic Gold and Very Vanilla.

Quick larger Lights Aglow Christmas card

Start with a 5″ square card of Cherry Cobbler. Cut a simple pattern of Lights Aglow DSP to 4-3/4″ square and adhere direct to the card front. Trim the quartered pattern of Lights Aglow 6″ x 6″ DSP into four 3″ x 3″ pieces. Mat one of the circle patterns of DSP onto a 3-1/4″ square of Gold Foil. Pop these up on the card front in a diamond configuration. Cut a 1-3/4″ square of Very Vanilla card. Turn it to be a diamond. Using Cherry Cobbler ink, stamp a sentiment from the Brightest Glow stamp set onto the vanilla diamond. Mat onto a 2″ square of Gold Foil. Pop the sentiment up on dimensionals in the centre of the first diamond.

Quick larger Lights Aglow Christmas card insert

On the Very Vanilla insert, using Cherry Cobbler ink, stamp two further sentiments from the Brightest Glow stamp set. Add a strip of the DSP used as background on the card front, along the base.
