Tutorial for Rustic Harvest bridge card



Today’s tutorial is for a Rustic Harvest bridge card. The bridge card is a fancy fold that folds flat to fit a standard envelope. I used the same paper for the centre panel that I used for the quick Harvest card.

This was the swap card that I made for our team recently. We also made a Christmas version of this card at our team meeting last week. If you’d like to join our team and craft along with us, then please email me.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the Rustic Harvest bridge card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Cajun Craze, Basic Black and Mossy Meadow.

Rustic Harvest bridge card

Start with an 4-1/8″ x 8″ base card of Cajun Craze. With the long edge at the top, score at 1-1/4″, 2-1/2″, 5-1/2″ and 6-3/4″. Valley fold the two inner scorelines and mountain fold the outer two scorelines. From the same pattern of Rustic Harvest DSP, cut four 1″ x 4″ panels and adhere direct to the two outer sections at each side of the card front. Cut a 2-3/4″ x 4″ panel of a different pattern of the DSP and adhere direct to the centre section of the card front.

Cut a 3/4″ x 5-1/4″ strip of Basic White card. Using Cajun Craze ink, stamp a sentiment from the Biggest Wish set on the left side of the strip. Mat onto 1″ x 5-1/2″ strip of Cajun Craze. Adhere the strip only to the outermost left panel, above the base. Fold the left side closed and adhere the other end of the sentiment strip direct to the outermost right panel. (See video). Fussy cut a pumpkin and leaf from another pattern of Rustic Harvest DSP. Pop the pumpkin up on the right side of the sentiment strip with dimensionals. Add the leaf to the pumpkin with mini dimensionals.

Rustic Harvest bridge card reverse

Cut a 2-3/4″ x 4″ panel of Basic White card. Using Cajun Craze ink, stamp another sentiment from the Biggest Wish set onto the panel. Adhere direct to the reverse side of the card, on the centre panel.
