Today’s tutorial is for an embossed words Santa Express card. The laser-cut words from the Santa Express Memories & More Card Pack are stepped up, by heat embossing with Metallic Silver. We’ve just changed the colour combo a little from the hidden message card (which also had heat embossed stars).

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the embossed words Santa Express card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Mint Macaron, Metallic Silver and Evening Evergreen.

Embossed words Santa Express card

Start with an A6 landscape card of Evening Evergreen. Mat with 4″ x 6″ card from the Santa Express Memories & More Card Pack (after trimming to 3-7/8″ x 5-1/2″). Gently push out the laser-cut words from the same Card Pack and cover with Versamark ink (see video). Cover with Silver EP and tap away any excess. Heat with a Heat Tool until the Emboss Powder starts to melt. As soon as one section melts, immediately move on to the next. Take care not to overheat of the Emboss Powder will turn matte. Apply adhesive to the back of the words and adhere them to the front of the card.

Embossed words Santa Express card insert

On the Basic White insert, add a tag from one of the sticker sheets from the Card Pack. Add a border along the base. This border was created by cutting the “stripes” of trees from a 4″ x 6″ card.
