Today’s tutorial is for a quick Florets Christmas card. This uses the Fitting Florets DSP which launches tomorrow and combines it with an existing stamp set and punch. I think it can be helpful to see new products mixed with those you already have.
Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Fitting Florets DSP. This is a limited time product, only available from 1 November, until 4 January, or while supplies last!
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the quick Florets Christmas card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo
This colour combo mixes Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and Basic White.
Quick Florets Christmas card
Start with an A6 portrait card of Evening Evergreen. Mat the lower card front with a layer (3-7/8″ x 3-1/4″) of Fitting Florets DSP (keeping the side and bottom border even. Mat the upper card front with a layer (3-7/8″ x 2-1/4″) of Fitting Florets DSP. Adhere a thin strip of Evening Evergreen Glimmer Paper over the join in the DSP. Using Evening Evergreen ink, stamp a sentiment from the Brightest Glow set onto a strip of Basic White card. Punch out with the plain oval from the double oval punch. Punch a scalloped oval from Evening Evergreen card. Adhere the plain oval direct to the scalloped. Pop the sentiment up on the card front with dimensionals.
