Today’s tutorial is for a Fitting Florets thank you card. This time we’re using the Fitting Florets DSP for both a background and a focal point.
This Fitting Florets DSP has some subtle patterns for backgrounds, bold florals and a few elements within the patterns that can be die cut out with the Framed Florets dies. Don’t forget that these papers will only be available until 4 January or while supplies last.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the Fitting Florets thank you card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo
This colour combo mixes Soft Succulent, Polished Pink and Evening Evergreen.
Fitting Florets thank you card
Start with an A6 portrait card of Evening Evergreen. Mat with Fitting Florets DSP. Adhere Distressed Gold Specialty Paper to Foam Adhesive Sheet and die cut out the outer ridged oval frame with the Framed Florets dies (see video below). Adhere the gold oval frame direct to the card front. Use the same Framed Florets die to die cut an inner oval from Basic White card. Using Polished Pink ink, stamp a sentiment from the Framed Florets set onto the oval. Adhere the stamped oval direct inside the gold oval frame. Die cut a duo of flowers from Fitting Florets DSP and pop up above the sentiment with dimensionals. Finish with Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls.
Here’s a short video with a few tips on creating a dimensional frame. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my quick cards and quick tips each week.
Fitting Florets thank you card insert
On the Basic White insert, using Polished Pink ink, stamp another sentiment from the Framed Florets set. Add a small flower just above the sentiment. Using Soft Succulent ink, stamp two sizes of leaves from the Framed Florets set, alternately along the base. I recommend starting in the centre and working outward.
Thanks for stopping by.
