Today’s tutorial is for a quick Santa xmas card. We’re adding a simple layered panel to the front of a preprinted card, folded tent style. The panel can also be used vertically with the card upright.

Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Santa Express Memories & More Cards & Envelopes. This pack includes 20 card bases and 20 envelopes. 10 of each have a Poppy Parade colour base and the other 10 have a Shaded Spruce colour base. I used one of them in my September Online Workshop.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the quick Santa xmas card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Poppy Parade, Shaded Spruce and Soft Sea Foam.

Quick Santa xmas card

Start with a preprinted card from the Santa Express Memories & More Cards & Envelopes. Cut a 6-1/4″ x 1-3/4″ panel of Basic White card. Using Poppy Parade ink, stamp a sentiment from the Trees for Sale set. Add a small solid tree from the set at each end of the sentiment with Soft Sea Foam ink. Stamp the branches over the top of each tree with Shaded Spruce ink and baubles over the top of that with Poppy Parade ink. Adhere the sentiment panel to a 6-1/4″ x 2″ panel of Poppy Parade card. Adhere these layers direct to a 6-1/4″ x 2-1/2″ panel of Shaded Spruce ink. Now adhere the layers direct to the card front. Finish with Gold Adhesive-backed Swirls on the top of each tree.

Quick Santa xmas card insert

On the inside, stamp another sentiment from the Trees For Sale set using Poppy Parade ink. Stamp another layered tree in the bottom right corner with Soft Sea Foam, Shaded Spruce and Poppy Parade inks.
