Today’s tutorial is for a mossy adorable owl card. This time we’re using the Happy Forest Friends DSP for the background. I’ve used this paper before with this stamp set as they seem made for each other.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the mossy adorable owl card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own (the order code for the Adorable Owls stamp set is 160269).

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake and Calypso Coral.

Mossy adorable owl card

Start with an A6 portrait card of Mossy Meadow. Mat with Happy Forest Friends DSP. Cut a main image panel from Basic White card. Using Memento Black ink, stamp the “Hoot, Hoot” sentiment from the Adorable Owls set at the top of the panel and the owl with bow tie below it. Colour the owl in with Stampin’ Blends (Crumb Cake duo, Old Olive light, Calypso Coral dark and Daffodil Delight dark. Mat onto Mossy Meadow card. Pop the stamped panel up on the card front with dimensionals.

Mossy adorable owl card insert

On the Basic White insert, using Memento Black ink, stamp the flying owl from the Adorable Owls set in the upper left corner. Colour the owl in with Stampin’ Blends (Crumb Cake duo, Old Olive light and Daffodil Delight dark). Stamp the remaining sentiments from the set below the image with the Memento Black ink again. Add borders of Happy Forest Friends DSP and Mossy Meadow card at the base.
