Tutorial for quick dandy thank you card

January 23, 2023

Today’s tutorial is for a quick dandy thank you card. The central sentiment can be added as either a diamond (as pictured) or a square.

Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Dandy Designs DSP. This DSP pack is free with a £90 purchase during Sale-a-bration. It includes 48 sheets of 12″ x 12″ papers; 4 each of 12 double-sided designs. I’ll have a couple of tutorials for you this week, that share different ideas for using these beautiful springtime papers.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the quick dandy thank you card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own (the order code for the Dandy Designs DSP is 160836).

Start with an A6 portrait card of Fresh Freesia. Cut a 3-5/8″ x 5-1/4″ card front layer of Dandy Designs DSP. Cut the DSP diagonally corner to corner both ways. Flip over the design on two opposite sides (see video below). Cut a 3-7/8″ x 5-1/2″ card front layer of Petal Pink card. Adhere the DSP triangles direct to the Petal Pink card front layer and then direct to the card front. Using Blackberry Bliss ink, stamp a sentiment from the Something fancy stamp set onto a small square (1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″) of Whisper White card, rotated to a diamond. Mat onto (1-3/4″ x 1-3/4″) Fresh Freesia card and pop up on the card front with dimensionals. Finish with Pastel Adhesive-backed Sequins.

Here’s a short video showing how this quick card comes together. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my quick cards and quick tips each week.

On the Basic White insert, using Blackberry Bliss ink, stamp another sentiment from the Something Fancy set. Add borders of the same patterns of Dandy Designs DSP used on the front, at the base.

I’m so thankful I found this on Pinterest! I received this package of paper, though it’s not colors I usually use.
I’m sure I’ll have used at least half of the pack by this evening.
    Thank you!
